Sibongile Mshanga

Born and raised in Lusaka, Sibongile claims she is not naturally gifted. “I took advantage of every class, every book, and every opportunity I had.” Her hard work at secondary school earned her university acceptances in Zambia and Russia. Turning down university scholarships to pursue an A-level education was not an easy decision. But, she said, Crucible’s “interview process was different, it changed my thoughts, inspired me, and made me realize that this was the kind of environment I wanted.”

Sibongile has no regrets. “Crucible Lusaka is a place where I have learned to take risks, lead with purpose, and express myself confidently. It is where mistakes are seen as lessons, not failures. This is the kind of environment that inspires me.”
